Hi Experts,

I'm laying our limestone raised patio. The main part is on a wet mix bed of 30 ish mm. The brick border is raised and will allow for a 10mm mortar bed.

There are going to be some small pieces that end up mostly on the brick and I am concerned that they wont bond correctly.

I have been using some SBR slurry on the flags but wanted to take advice on the best way to try to make sure these smaller pieces, with a thinner mortar bed, on the step edge stay down =)

Thanks
Rolf

you probably need to have a flag border on top of the bricks
so you would have segments at least 250mm tapered to account for the curve
small cuts are frowned upon
use SBR bondbridge or larsen primer on these

OK,

I'll get a template made up and see how that looks.

Thanks

try using card or a piece of 6 mm play as a template, much easier than cutting flags
