Silt trap - where can i get one?

I'm laying a perforated drain behind a new retaining wall. The local authority tells me that the connection to the domestic drainage (combined system) must be via a silt trap, which seems reasonable.

The problem is, where can I get a silt trap? I've scoured the internet and not found one.

Any help much appreciated.

Make one. Look under catch pit.

The thing with a P trap is, how does one periodically clear out the silt?

Shove your hand in ( with rubber gloves ) and dog it out. How deep will it be?

Not sure how sticking your hand in would work as one side of the trap would be connected to the perforated drain and the other to the rest of the system... nowhere for the hand to gain access (as well as it being underground)
