Thank you for the reply, that is exactly the answer I was looking for.
Update - No visit from the council last week as I was informed, but then that does not mean much, I am sure they are busy with lots of flooding issues at the moment.
I understand what you mean that the run will not go uphill but the direction the pipes are pointing do go up the estate and lead absolutely nowhere that they could drain into. The other way however towards her house do run down the estate where at the bottom ( quite some distance away ) is a stream. Because no one can tell where the run starts and ends it's anyone's guess what is going on.
