Thats what I do, but do you give the customer a choice. I always say things like" its all the rage to have it laid like that", "its industry standard" and the classic "it draws your eye into it"!!!!

Stunning job Dempsey, you must be building quite a reputation in your area.

Nice Job MSH you and your guy have made the limestone look good.

There is a repeating pattern for that 3 size format on the Marshalls website. Maybe worth considering next time.

Cracking York stone Setts on that driveway Ash, you've got it down to an art form.

I had a look at your website.

-Lots of quality pictures which is good, gives potential clients an insight into the quality of the work.

-I also liked the page on attention to detail, its the details that set you apart from the competition so really good to highlight this.

-I think the home page would look better if there was some white space between the six product group boxes. Currently they all morph together

-The images on the product group boxes could also be better. Full sized project shots as opposed to the close ups, especially on the driveways and landscaping boxes.

-The images for the reviews and contact boxes could also be more relevant

I agree with London Stone Paving about needing some white spaces between the product group boxes, on the home page. The images in the boxes look a little flat (low contrast) and if you adjust this, the text in the image should stand out more. You might need to use just a touch of sharpening, too.

Good photos all round, though. There's some nice graphic compositions there, which considering what you do for a living isn't a surprise.

No worries Ash.

the biggest issue people face with websites is the lack of top quality imagery. You've got shed loads of it, so your in a great position

I think the website is very very good barring those 6 pictures that abut each other
slightly confusing to the eye
but quality work like that sells itself
excellent work

someone's loss will be someone else's good fortune!
I know the boss bangs on about contracts but clients dont want that around their neck
I keep all emails relating to individual jobs in folders but there are multitudes of reasons for cancellations,
if it happens best to move on

That's a real bummer. I'd be seething.
Do you not have any other work you can bring forward.

Rightly or wrongly I overbook to avoid these situations.
