I knew I'd get **** for buying this coat but I don't care. I spent 2 years making this decision and I wish I hadn't. Spent the 2 years. It will repair when it tears and that'll take a while cos it's tough as hell.
My hands are blistered, I've got so many scratches on my arms I look like a self injurer, my left knee clicks and hurts, I've got the beginning of carpet tunnel sydrome and I've got a cussed back and I'm not even 40. But I'm dry hahaha. I'll leave all you tough guys to endure the wet winter.

I only use cheapo work gear. 3/4 length hi viz jacket and waterproof trousers in the rain.
Keeps me dry but you can't lay when it's to wet or your bed turns to pudding.
I'll never spend loads on work gear because as others have said, it just gets knackered.
Expensive boots are a waste of money if your always on your knees as the toes last 3 months at best so your better off buying a decent set of knee pads.

Cod liver oil tablets for the knees and a tempur mattress for the back.
You can claim the Vat on the mattress if you have a bad back.

Dunno, you spend most of your life in those boots, need something comfortable. There are some out there that have moulding over the toes to prevent wearing.
Knee pads are an enigma, finally found a pair which seem decent enough. They cup over the knee so don't slip down but after an hour or so they still have to come off, it's the strap that grips me.
Cheers

I used the Tommyco gel knee pads from B&Q for years, the Velcro straps are above and below the knee and don't cause any pain what so ever, they have stopped stocking this type and I cant buy them for love nor money
I always buy decent work boots as you say they are on your feet all day

I had both my wrist operated on at the same time for carpel tunnel syndrome. Also had the bone taken out of my thumb and got to have other thumb done same. I buy trousers where you can fit the knee pads in a pocket in the knee. I bought cheap boots ladt time and the steel cap is digging onto my toes. I boughy a car chesper than that coat.

its whatever suits
I dont like knee pads, never had but I am not paving day in day out
the human body is not designed to kneel
I have worn £100 jumpers to work and they are ruined in 2 days
so what is the point?
for me comfort and mobility is everything
so slip on steelies, jogging bottoms and a t-shirt
still got dickies trousers unopened ready to go

Snap Tony.
Top half I make sure both myself and the lads wear company clothes but I don't make them wear proper trousers or a certain type of boots.
For me a pair of riggers with joggers over them makes sure I'm not restricted like I would be with trousers, I don't get stones or bedding muck in my boots and I can get them on and off quick if I have to go in to the customers house for any reason.

My wife is constantly buying me up to date casual wear so got plenty older ( to good for work in my opinion ) stuff for work. I won't wear the knee pads that go around because i had a thrombosis a few years back almost seen me off
Not really a coat person myself even when going out. I am an ice bag man :;):
