Installing and connecting a 90mm pumped sewer main to the main sewer in the highway last week, the rising main was some tough stuff to deal with!

VC connection to manhole

SN8 110mm Plastic connected to VC

Image

Pumped main IC to gravity system, next 6m of pipework laid as flat as possible to slow the flow down to avoid excessive splash within main chamber when pumped sewage ejects

Image

BT 100mm ductwork laid into the same trench

Image

Backfill and marker tape

Didn't take a pic of the finished job but all nice and tidy

Looks good Dave. Whenever I do them jobs something happens. Hit a service or something.

Don't you have shutes on your wagons?

Amazing stuff Dempsey, takes a lol of patience all that cutting.

The design is well thought out, customers must be chuffed.

Thanks mick. Yes me laying another on the mixer and cuts etc. knocking up and pouring the slurry slows things down a bit but worth it to get them stuck down.

Careful excavation with a toothless bucket limits damage but yes we did sever one small MDPE water service, easily fixed using Plasson couplers and a squeeze-off tool. We did have full underground service drawings to hand as this was all Section 50 work in the highway but it doesn't show service pipes!

Yes, all my wagons have chutes but not the 7.5 ton wagon.
