Hi all,

Just laid 10mm golden gravel to a depth of approx 30mm on a solid base and wondered if anyone has tried compacting it with a roller or more commanly a vibrating plate?

Just wanted to know if it was worth it and what the results were?

Thanks.

you need to have laid it on type base
if the base is concrete you will have a nightmare
if laid on type 1 a quick going over with the rake and a light pass with the wacker should suffice

remember the old saying
" a man with a gravel drive needs a rake== every day"
cheers LLL :)
"what,you want paying today??"
