Hi
I'm building a 2.5ft high dry stacked terracing wall in the garden using some old reclaimed paving slabs as outlined here:

terracing

I've laid a 4 inch concrete footing below ground level and wonder how long I should leave it to cure before starting to build up the courses of slabs ?

Also - I haven't bedded the first course of slabs into the footing as illustrated, but I have created a backsloping profile in it so that the stacked slabs should create the batter as I build up. Does that sound reasonable ?

Thanks

P.s. Many thanks for putting this site together - it's been a constant source of reference as I've been re-landscaping the garden !

You could start almost immediatly as i'm sure the progress will be slow.
Having said that i'd give it 24/48 hours to go off a bit.
