typically leak, it's not my job to move ladders. like any one could predict the pipe run you were going to use.

It's their ladders not the plumbers

Cut the pipe or the ladders?

Bet they haven't filled the system with inhibitor etc so just be water

I had a plumber round just before christmas to service the boiler and move a radiator. Was quoted 45 for the boiler and 65 for the radiator got the bill last week £336!!!! I blew a flippin gasket. He was here 2hrs and only supplied a couple of small bits. He got a hair drying down the phone but wouldn't budge so I sent a cheque for £120 with a polite post it note on it.

basically a boiler service they whack it on full for 4 hrs then see if it still works
about £50
and a radiator about£100 supply and fit
I wont accept verbal quotes any more, and i always pay by BACS now, saves all the arguments down the line

We went to a job today at a barn conversion and the plumber had smashed nearly a 300mm square hole to get his pipe in :)
