Spent the weak getting the drainage in ready for a 3000 metre base slab in London. Hell of a job, suspended drainage using tons of scaffolding to hold it in place. Been catching up on sleep.

the cold just ebbs the energy out of you
we have a week of hand digging next week no way of using a digger due to split levels and a handsomely landscaped garden which the client would like to keep

I'd like to see some pics of all this suspended drainage Sean, sounds a nightmare.
I have a fear we have done our last few tons of tarmac this year..........it's just too cold

The cold ground is going to be like concrete with the frost. Think a compressor and clay spade will be the way forward :;):

I have a clay spade for the makita ,but generally once you get 300 down its not frozen
it was -7 in the taxi home at 11ish last night
that is seriously cold for november

I'm sat in my little micra 2 wheel drive courtesy car missing my navara massively and it's saying it's -5 at 12 noon haha 2 inches of snow glad I'm on machines at mo not laying paving. Those cab heaters are a treat

Trying Dave, just can't seem to get the hang of it. I've got as far as putting them on the 'puter then ..... :p ??? ??? :laugh:
