John H Stracey certainly is a legend in my eyes to, World Welterweight champion with a career record of 45 wins with 37 knockouts, 5 losses and 1 draw, top boxer in the 70's and great to watch him fight
I was at a charity event at the Rebok stadium a few weeks ago and Ricky Hatton was suppose to be there along with "Team Hatton"
sadly Ricky could not be there for reasons we all know but Amir Khan was there along with Robin Read and other stars off the telly including Paddy Mcguinness
Katie Price canceled at the last minute which was a good result in my opinion
gangster's don't last more than a few years these days before the next up and coming wannabe takes them out ???

its those charity does that separate the real stars from the C-list,it was some kind of boxing do that john H and that had been to,but i was amazed after all his hard fights how compos mentis he was,and i would say no more than a stone over his fighting weight.
take note ricky and naseem
I hate the thought of ricky fiinishing a 2 time loser, but as any boxing fan will tell you he never ducked nobody
he fought the best of his era and thats all you can ask of any man
