Hi!

Is it a bad idea to have your drive laid over the winter?

Other than the normal unreliable and generally quite soggy North West weather, is it daft to have your drive done in Dec/Jan? Is it best to wait for spring?

Many thanks for any help.

Katie

we work all year round constructing driveways, we have winter days what are sometimes drier than days in the spring and summer

its not advisable to carry out work when there is severe ground frost like we experienced last winter

if your thinking of having your driveway replaced then you would be best advised to have the work completed this year as the VAT goes up to 20% on the 1st Jan next year

get it done now, bitumen prices will only go up...

plus it should settle down in plenty time for the summer softening malarky in June

Thank you for all your responses!

As it happens the guy doing the drive has been able to take advantage of nice weather, last week, so it's underway!

Many thansk for your help!
