the tale of the 33 miners i found very uplifting
the fact that this supposedly 2nd world country has managed it puts our own failings into perspective
I note with interest oakley's donation of 33 sets pf $450 sunglasses
apparently they have garnered 46.1 million dollars worth of free advertising from that <cough cough> charitable gift
I surprised ronnie mac isnt handing out strawberry macflurrys as they appear

but cynicism aside what a great story and a happy ending(so far)
the Chileans just got on with it and got their men out
good job

Yes, quite agree with you Tony.

It's hard not to get emotional watching the scenes on TV, esp the first guy out and his 8yr old son, that was very moving.

Well done (so far) to everyone involved in the rescue, I'm having a beer everytime a miners gets hauled up! Tommorrow could be a no-go for me!!!!

Gary Glitter has now arrived in Chile. Its the only country you can slide a miner up and down a shaft and get applauded!

i believe the rescue drilling crew and the drilling rig are German? sure i read that somewhere they had to wait for them to get out there.

but very uplifting, had 5 live on all day as each one came out, some people ringing in bemoaning the constant updates as each one came out, miserable gits haha

the yanks have latched on to this guy here
but i notice he has worked for a chilean company for 24 years
1 of the missus's cousins lives in chile,by all accounts life is very hard there at the best of times,
he has to commute 400 miles every week to santiago to work as there is little well paid work outside the capital
anyway the whole thing is a great good news story

after being in the scrotum of the mine, then being ejaculated out of a penis like capsule, i would of thought it is like being reborn. What a great achievement.....respect!!!

i reckon the new england sports ventures would have been good for the mickey mousers ,after all they have a track record in running successful sports clubs, same as the glazers

this fella from singapore doesn't look legit to me
and they have everton saturday

i reckon the only thing keeping hodgson in his job is the turmoil, once new owners get in he will get his jotters
