hi ,my mrs has nagged me into relaying our patio .we moved into current house about a year and half ago .anyway cut a long story short ,i took up the old 450 mm x 450 mm slabs .underneath a hard bed of sand and cement.took that up and pure mud ,no stone :( .dug out soft patches yesterday and gave mrs a few numbers out of yellow pages to phone up for type 1 .one quote for one tonne bag of type 1, 66 pound +vat .is that dearest in uk its gotta come close :D

i'll bring 1 down for £65 cash :)
think the most i have ever paid was £50 +VAT and that was from a garden centre!!

i just paid 44 for cash .thats the cheapest i can find .where have all the grab drivers gone :(

I just had 9 ton delivered by grab driver today for £100 + vat he dropped Type 1 for me and then took rest of spoil away. win win situation and type 1 is excellent high dust content so compacts well.

i think mickg has hit the nail on the head setts
anywhere near the m25 and the exs go up,congestion charges,yard costs,emission zone
oop north if they need some more MOT they just go and blow up the nearest mountain :)
dug out about 3M 3 of the finest hertfordshire hoggin today,was going to send a sample to the gaffer as I know he loves it so much

and you can keep that hoggin s***e too, a mixture of sand and gravel held together by clay no wonder there are so many wibbly wobbly driveways darn sarf :D

i should have known there would be no stone under patio its a fair phew house lll u know the score .as for the 66 pound +vat for type one ,suppliers initials are tp :) . one of my m8s in north west works in builders merchants .he knocks type 1v out for 16 pound + vat for loose.

im just glad the mrs doesnt want a tonne bag of golden gravel.i think i would have had to pop some gold in a little plastic bag to pay 4 it :D

pablo. there's more poles than the ice pole up here. 6mts and they have disappeared to be replaced by another.

i believe it was travis "bleedin'" perkins mick
I know if you have terms set up they can be ok ,but for the joe bloggs punter they are robbery without violence
i was charged £66 for a 3M length of 200mm skirting a few years back,never went back after that little touch
I would rather chop the tree down and whittle it with a swiss army knife than pay that much again

i found very heavy prices when in mushwell hill then found independent BM in spurs land paid cash good discount 35 ton bags delivered cement 3 50 bag biggest cost skips 8yards 240 pound and that was for rubble had 12 of them wait and return 30 mins max build plus were dear walked away from counter when he said cant give discount 4 20 bag of cement i wanted 3ton other BM snatched my hand of :;): :;):
