Sorry if this is not allowed, but has anybody ever used PR Dream Driveways based in St Neots? I believe they are also associated with MR Contractors based in Hemingford Grey?
I may use them but would be good to know if anybody can confirm if they are any good.
There websites are poorly designed..
http://www.mrcontractors.co.uk
http://pandrdreamdriveways.co.uk
...but that doesn't mean they're no good I guess. ???
I've seen some driveways that have been completed recently by them but it's hard to tell when a driveway is finished if the sub-base etc and edging all done correctly. It's only going to be over time that dodgy work will show (unless somebody else can advise me otherwise?)
Thanks in anticipation!

i spoke to him and hes not heard of them, but he doesnt live in the town itself
ask to speak to previous clients and look at recent work
judging by the webbys i would say they look fine, the work doesn't look plagiarised
also ask for a written spec
cheers LLL

Just thought I'd give my opinion on these guys as I did end up using them...
If you've got a simple, quick job they should be fine for your driveway (block paving)
Having said that, make sure you keep an eye on them and make sure you get everything in writing, because that's where it started to go wrong. Yes, I had it in writing but not every tiny detail!!
I made the mistake of paying when they had completed the bulk of the job, because they did seem pleasant at the time. Just a couple of minor things that they said they'd come back and do... (yes you guessed it - they didn't -despite saying, "I'll be there tomorrow").
Now I don't want to be ungrateful, but they have had numerous attempts to fix what's necessary. I've phoned them numerous times and he's admitted that he's in the pub on more than one occasion on a weekday!! Now I like a drink as much as the next man even on a weekday but it's certainly not professional to be "trolleyed" when answering.
So, I don't want to slate them off, (actually yes I do ??? but as I say just a warning if you do use them, remember to keep an eye on them, and don't pay until completed regardless of what he says and as "charming" as he may be.
So you decide.
Enough of my rant - almost therapeutic!
(Apologies if this is not allowed - it's just a genuine "testimonial" - feel free to delete if it's against guidelines??)
Thanks
Jimbob

we dont delete anything thats not spam or illegal jimbob
its a valid review
it drives me crackers when lads wont finish jobs ,I am the finishing foreman at work and i wont give lads £20 for diesel until they have done it the way i want it
and if i am trolleyed in the pub,i wont take work calls, its unprofessional
hope they sort it for you

Ive never understood the companies out there that are seemingly willing to do a good job but then ruin there reputation and relationship with the client for the sake of half a days 'snagging'.
And im with LLL - never answer the phone if your in a pub especially after a couple of sherberts een if someone calls to discuss looking at a job at 11.30 pm

Thanks LLL, Dave_L and ratty - I've given up on them now as they got rather threatening! I value my life too much to worry about it anymore. A live and learn lesson! ???

Shame, all you can do is call it a lesson learnt.
Spread the word about the bad service, news will travel fast.

isn't threatening someone a criminal offence?
I take it you are an upstanding citizen jimbob?
go to the police its what you pay your council tax for
also maybe write to the federation of master builders which they claim to be a member of.
can you detail what they aren't prepared to finish??
do they realise that this is the world's most popular resource for paving?
anyone reading this forum wont use them again thats for sure

Cops will classify it is a civil dispute, they will be no use.
FMB aren't worth the paper they are written on IMO, things may have changed.......

threatening someone is a criminal offence dave,
i would like to know exactly what they havent done?
I'll ring him up and ask him how much bad publicity does he need before he puts it right?
