if he reckons its only 2 hours then he should be done by tea time
I get these calls all the time "it will only take you half a day to cut the opening out and get the rsj in"
or "you'll lay 150 slabs in a day,easy"
I gave a bloke my price to cut out and put in an rsj recently ,£650
he decided it was too dear, so him and his brother in law decided to do it
anyway the non-load bearing wall turned out to be load bearing, hes got cracks in his bedroom walls and a 50mm gap under his bedroom door
he asked could i come and "help" them put it right
"yes, but its £850 now,I have got to put right what you 2 have done first"

I know of a couple of lads round here (preston) who are pricing themselves on jobs at £60 a day at the minute. ??? No wonder its getting harder to get jobs when your competing against prices based on those rates.
Ratty
haha you posted the price as i was typing that. (slow on computers lol)
