i have just been to a customers house and they would like me to relay there old driveway at there cottage, the property is about 300 yrs old and they have a very old driveway set in sand , it comprises of thousands of brick like cobbles laid in a herringbone pattern, i took one out and was quite suprised of the depth of these things about 180 mm in depth considering they are only 50mm x 100mm the depth seems excessive, it was a little like pulling teeth getting one out, anyway they want us to take them all up clean them and relay them again on a fresh subbase, i have been doing hard landscaping for over 5yrs now and have laid pretty much ever type of paving but have not come across something like this so i thought i'd better check here to see if u had any advise tony i did take a piccy of the cobbles if that helps, although i dont know if i can up them to the board can i mail u the pics or text u them??. many thx.

Suki - this is the post I thought I'd answered already! Maybe I read it and then got distracted before I had a chance to answer. Anyway, send me the piccies as discussed by email and I'll see what can be done.
