just watched his star dinners thing
Jeez what an obnoxious so and so he is
I do like winner in a perverse sort of way,but why people would subject themselves to his rudeness is beyond me
If he came round our house i would give him spaghetti on toast and a mug of yorkshire tea

I saw the program start and said the exact words to the wife as you said Luton, what an obnoxious so and so he is, well not quite the words so and so it was a word that rhymes with hat
I am well aware of the comments people from the south call us northerners but to say we cook the most awful food and live in an awful place is taking it too far
let us not forget if it was not for us northern folk then them people darn souf would never of tasted fish n chips and of course mushy peas
classy airline food

The Radio Times summed him up -
"peevish, fussy, an overdecorated trifle...
Peevish - what a great word.

one of the best breakfasts i have eaten in a hotel was at whites hotel in the reebok stadium
darn sarf you get a childs meal for £12 and they wont do beans as they reckon they are common
i thought fish an chips originated in the east end mick? in the Jewish community
however haddock and chips cooked in beef dripping northern style is the superlative fish supper
down here it is being pushed aside by generic all under one roof chippy/kebab/pizza/heroin/curry shops :;):
apart from his work with slain coppers winner is a self confessed "fat pig"
that food looked awesome, but you have to remember that restaurant chefs lace everything with salt and butter

Both Lancashire and London stake a claim to the origin of our most famous meal.
Fish & Chips - A History
Chips were the staple fare of the industrial north whilst fried fish was introduced in London’s East
wikipedia has a slightly different version of who was first

Nearly every town I've worked in around the north of England claims to be the "birthplace of fish'n'chips".
Winner had some incredibly ungracious comments about life in the north, which is why the talentless door-to-door insurance salesman is banished to Lower Britain. We're fussy about the company we keep, up here! Those of you compelled to share the same oxygen as this waste of food have my sympathy.

he was on 5 live saying hes never had a good meal up north, etc obviusly a blatant publicity stun to drum up press for this show early in the week
a restauranteur from maccesfield/prestbury way rang in and said i have an entry from micheal winner in our visitor book saying somehting along the lines of thats the best meal i have had in 5 years etc.....
i'm a really good cook, really good but i still wouldn't have that stuck up t*t sat at my table. much rather have my mates round a shed load of red wine and a good laugh and crack and banter and your mates don;t even say owt they just eat everything you put down and seconds haha who needs a star.

i have even heard tell of triple fried chips
ones for the diet
In my mates place in central london i asked for cheesburger and chips
they asked how i would like the burger done?
i said "cooked?"
me being a provincial pleb I didnt realise that you can have you burger bleu, rare, medium rare etc. in london
it is very very difficult to replicate restaurant food in a domestic setting
the ovens are far far hotter than domestic and they have a number of condiments and sauces all ready to use
that machine driver that winner slated looked like he was going to pull a mac10 out and blast the ignorant old sod
i thought his grub and the lady that had lost the weight both cooked fantastic meals
my pal said unfortunately winner is a very powerful man food wise,he has the power to make or break restaurants
so if he comes in ,you find him a table
and if he doesnt like it you pay someone to move etc etc
basically on your knees kissing where the sun dont shine
because if he gives you a black mark, its over

They were in my hometown of longridge last nite, i knew some of the other guests Dave wilkinson and his missus ( she were sat next to Winner) Daves a builder.
Did you hear him say "i do beleive you lost a lot of weight?" to the host, and then went on to say "you must of been huge!" poor lass, the way he said that and carried on annoyed me!
