hi all , i am thinking of putting up a large woodenshed/cabin , approx 20ftx12ft, i have been lookiong at sites on web for "log cabins" etc .... anyone have advice? recommendations? .....many different prices for the same wooden structures via different companies ! I am new to this !! need any help advice etc ...... possibly someone knows a shed/cabin second hand !? thanks very much --- this is a good site --- (i am not known for my DIY !) -- cheers --tom

its seems different companies have trhe same product (toung and groove shed) but have quite different prices ...also -some "deals" are on for a while and its a bit of a maze --i guess i get what i pay for and hope for the best it blows a gale a lot up here in thurso... very big winds ...... so , please any more advice etc for a first-timer would be welcome --- i wondered if its worth looking into second hand log cabins ? its a blooming long way to here from "there" though .... thanks anyway for the help so far .....

yes --- other people have sheds (large) and cabins (large) ... i live semi-terraced -- still the winds blow hard here--- some folk have their cabins "strapped down" ..... there are more windy places , i am sure, --at moment its "effing" cold and snow on ground .......i have asked around neigbourhood for advice and suggestions , just wanted to try the experts here ..(no joke)
this site is very good ---- i looked into concrete bases etc (how to make) --- i like some of the pages i see --- i have a lot of DIY to do ..and at my age ! well -you never too old to learn etc etc ---- thanks to one and all for helpfull hints -
