Just been rear ended (oooh errr) A wagon was stopped on the main carlisle newcastle rd, over the brow of a hill in the dark & pissin rain.. no hazard or nothing!, I managed to stop only to find myself being hurled towards the diff of the offending wagon by another car going about 40mph!!, I got out looked at the other car which was pancaked, I thought the guy was a gonna by the damage! but luckily he was ok if not a bit shocked, a nearby farmer just looked at my jeep & said to the other driver "get yourself one of those next time" ) I drove it home ok with the permission of the copper, but probs a write off with that impact, makes you think though had it been anything bigger the outcome could have been soooo different ...

Glad you're still with us Stav - we forget how dangerous this driving lark is - roughly 65 killed each week in the UK.
Fell off a horse yesterday - definitely more aware of my mortality as I get older.
Great photo LLL. Hope you have a framed blow-up in the downstairs loo !!

That looks like a bit of a rough ride out LLL... , You forget the forces involved when driving along , It's the Jeep 4.0 se Bobbi, So pretty robust but considering the rear doors are a bit sticky I think it's had it, I will just buy a scrapper on ebay & me & my stepdad will do a bit of cannibalising (frankenjeep) if anyone has a vehicle for sale btw give me a shout can be anything, as long as it's not a clio, judging by the other car ...

the first thing the "officer" said was " can i see your licence sir?"
to which i replied "its at the villa "
uh-oh
you have to have your license on you at all times in the usa
looking at the picture i realise we were driving east, maybe it was the glare off the rear windscreens that caused it
thing is,i heard the "scrreech thump, then thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, and i thought"yay they have missed me"
then a final "thump" as i got it too
fair play though, they had helicopters, police, fire brigade, all there in like 10 minutes flat, some poor buggers had to be cut out
