I'm sure there was a thread here somewhere all about the most interesting/odd things we've dug up during the course of our work.
Today we dug up a 10" pink vibrator!!
Beat that!

An owd bloke I used to work with, found a 8 cube skip in a front garden - ordinarily, no big deal,
But, it was a good 6 inches below the lawn

3 WW2 lorries full of rusted spanners at a pig farm in cubbington (former airbase) completely buried for god knows what reason
the old fella 2 metal dustbins full of 2 shilling bits (black marketeer shopkeeper buried them then died)
a pewter spoon dated by luton museum to 1680 (found in the pump when pumping an old well out)
and a george the 3rd penny spotted on an old farm after dredging the pond
so 25 years of digging total found £0000 :;):

I chucked the aforementioned vibe into a wheelbarrow, we're gonna hide it in the fitters toolbox tommorrow when he isn't looking.
Wearing gloves, of course. We're gonna have a laugh! He's quite a shy type, not sure of the reaction when he goes for a screwdriver and comes out with a 10" vibrator!!!

There is a local WWII US Base airfield not far from me (Dunkeswell) that in and around there are rumoured to be buried vehicles etc
Still waiting for a job to come up there!

There is still a Anti Aircraft gun placement in the woods on Campus, left over from the days of the war, when the Army commandeered the land, before it became a university.
Rumoured to be a soft patch of ground in one of the smaller woods, which apparently was a dump for all the surplus guns and ammo left over after it reverted back to council ownership.

When I was younger I found a perfectly flat round stone with a hole in it. I kept it but thought nothing of it until recently when I saw another in a museum. It turns out it's a spindle for a spinning loom and could be up to 5000 years old. My father still has it but really we should hand it over as it's classed as treasure. Other than that I found some glass from the Scirroco works in Belfast it was the first in Britain to mass produce glass in the 16 hundreds I think. Also had a digger fall into an air raid shelter that was buried but empty. That took a bit of work to get out. Found a pound coin from 1984 in some soil the other day must have been one of the first and sick of finding the family pets.

I once dug up a jewellery box. We opened it up hoping to find gold and diamonds….. To our dismay, only the skeleton of a small fish was inside

dead cats in bin bags, made me gag when the bags split
a jcb engine burried complete with radiator, alternator etc i dug it up 25 years after it had broke down on my dad and been swapped for another one in the field and just buried where it fell haha
no sex toys yet though haha

once found the remains of a lost pet snake in a bin sack, which had "liquified" into a putrid mass, and a headless cat in amongst some overgrown bushes.
dug up A ww1 bullet, and a king george coin found in my last house which was built in 1993.
Apart from that. but how many others are sick to death of the customer coming out everytime you start digging saying "found any buried treasure??!!" 
if we had, we wouldn't tell you!
