Apologies to all those who couldn't access the website yesterday. As with the previous incident when the pavingexpert was unobtainable, this latest incident was due to the sheer ineptness and incompetence of the cowboys that provide hosting for the site.

It started on Sunday night when they changed summat in the works that caused me to lose all emails sent to the pavingexpert domain. When I asked the gimps at UK2 Net to fix this, they responded by losing the website, but don't seem to feel this was in any way wrong.

The website appears to be back online, but of course they've not fixed the email problem at all. They probably need a long rest after all their exertions in buggering-up the website yet again.

Feel free to hurl abuse at the useless twonks. The so-called "support ticket" is DQZ-670556 and they'd love to hear from you via support@support.uk2.net.

If anyone is considering UK2 net as their hosting provider: DON'T. They are incompetent and it takes at least 24 hours (often longer) for them to respond to even the simplest issue. Oh: and don't fall for any of their 'free months hosting' scams, either. They mysteriously lose any record of your entitlement when you try to claim.

Tossers!

Same happened on a Jap car website . Loss of e-mails and site loss for a few days.
All they got was a lame-ass excuse e-mail reply. (I think Ive just created a new tech-term)

I only wish I could change hosts, but I'm locked into a term contract until Sept 2010, and, given the stress that the last change of host caused, I'm really not looking forward to doing it all again!

Other than the monkeys who press the buttons at the hosting company - the general forum/site performance is pretty good.
