Don't be posting filth like that on this site. There's not much I won't tolerate, but I draw the line at the Daily Wail.

Apart from the total tripe that comes from this government, who actually use's B&Q ? I find that the staff dont know there arse from there elbow.Builders Merchant every time. I will admit tho that i'm a tad peed off with Travis Bloody perkins as Tony puts it.Got a phone call a couple of month ago from my local TP,it was the manager asking why i had not used my account for a while. My reply was you are to expensive.Right we'll look into it.Manager phone's back and says your terms and prices are ridiculous and that i will post amended prices.Much much better prices and that i've gone back to them.

I too have "special rates" with TP's but they are still dearer than the supplier I know use who is a local business and covers all the area I work in.

I use TP and have good prices for Bradstone block paving and decking (ahem) and that makes up for the overpriced sand, cement, etc. I also get excellent service from my local depot.
The B&Q in Reading is really well stocked and I'm quite happy to have a potter about in there. They have some good stuff for garden lighting, which I use quite a lot, and they're handy if you need to grab some chain oil or some such on a Sunday or Sat pm when the bm's are closed.
I'd rather use B&Q than bloody Builder Center or Jewson (round here, anyway)

I wish I had a quid for every time someone sent me email or called with the phrase, "...but the chap at B&Q said it was best to...." followed by a methodology of such jaw-dropping incompetence as to beggar belief.
The most common Viz-worthy Tip from B&Q is the recommendation to mix a bit of cement with the KDS when jointing your block paving, followed by "it doesn't matter which way up you lay this Indian sandstone stuff, so that's why it's better than concrete flags", and the hard-to-beat "just paint the mortar with fence stain to get a black looking-joint between your flags".
"I was a landscaper for umpteen years before I joined....", says your man on the telly ads, omitting to mention that he was so chuffing useless at it that he's had to pack it in and is now working for minimum wage in a bright orange community-service overall.

i read in the paper that a new MacDonald in Eire had fund managers, and accountants applying to flip burgers
TBH if I had no work at all i would work in B+Q or maccy Ds for about 15 minutes, till I twatted one of those oily *team leaders*
but in reality any work keeps your self esteem up,during the last recession things went very pear shaped for me and a lot of bad stuff happened
still the merchants were full of easter patio people today, all trying to get stuff delivered tomorrow for their patio (BMs shut good friday)
