Yey! We've had 10mm on snow, I fear the economy is going to stop tommorrow as offices and schools close left right and centre!
We've had to abandon 1000+metres of road surfacing until the weather warms/dries up, but fortunately we've got other (indoor!!) jobs to be getting on with in the meantime.
Here's a pic of the 10mm of snow we've got. It'll make headline news tommorrow

we had 100mm and its still snowing atm here in sheffield, going across penines this morning was fun, but took me 2 hours to get home all the retards who can't drive in snow or non 4x4 should have stayed at home, traffic chaos every where. slipped over twice this morning outside the site till we went and 'borrowed' a yellow grit box.

Our young lad was out in the night on the gritter for 6 hours, came in just before dinner, and was asleep on his feet.
Coventry council have decimated our grit salt suppliers' stock, they bought up 1000 tonnes in a panic, and now we are left with our stock, and a load of white salt - which is useless for machine distribution.

3" here in Henley this morning. Work off again. There's only so long I can keep three people cutting decking timber before we have to start the paving again!

We had a Local farmer on call last night, and was out for 3 hours on his huge John Deere and snowplough. Only 4 of 10 in tommorrow, and we got 4 different tractor/gritters to run, a tractor + trailer on hand gritting and a couple of vans to go out and grit some of the non accessable areas.
