It'd be boring if it was the same every day. Part of the fun of working in the building trade in Britain is never knowing what the weather will do next.
As we were taught in Geography, Britain and Ireland don't have a climate: just weather.

thats the trouble.. insurance will only pay for gable end and client not interested in coffin up for the rest. even had cheek to ask why remaining four fifths of the house was going to cost the same as the gable. try doin some people a favour and you get egg on yr face;)

managed to fit a velux window today despite the ominous clouds... wish velux still made the bigger sized windows, as fitting these smaller ones takes an age Still if I trim it nice the client wont be too peeved at losing 8 inches of glass width.

And here in SE London. It was beginning to settle at 2" but now it seems to be melting quicker than it's forming.
That's the beauty of London traffic.

Took me an hour to drive into Eastbourne centre ( usually 5 mins ) Arndale car park inaccessible due to snow on the slopes. then watched news of olympic torch to find ther wasnt any snow in that part of London.

.........and I reckon we've got wet every day for the past 5 weeks. Awful weather.
There's a slight break in the weather, been hot and sunny today, the combine harvesters are out in the fields I see, salvaging what they can of the crop. Most of it will be rotten, surely.
No doubt the holiday Monday will be wet.
