There was an article about this in one of the trade papers last week. The building, assuming it is the same one, is in a highly sensitive area which rules out traditional demolition, and they are recycling as much as possible.
I'm not sure whether it was a problem with my comprehension of the way the article was written, but I couldn't understand why it was being done from the bottom upwards, rather than top down.

A lot easier to get rid of the material from ground level. i suspect the jacks are down in the basement and the building is lowered hydaulically. if you think how heavy the roof at t5, also the new control tower, where and they were lifted then it is easy enouth to reverse the process. we did an existing building in london once and gained a floor on the lower level to make a car park ,amazing.

could save a lot af structural damage to nearby buildings to boot. very clever, but most simple ideas usually are:D
