The cost of resin mortar for these intricate sett patterns isn't as scary as you might initially think.
The fans we did 18 months ago worked out at around 3-4m² per 25kg bag, so roughly a tenner per m², which compares favourably with traditional pointing. Obviously, mortar slurry is cheaper, but when you factor in the length of time it takes, plus the cleaning, there's not a lot in it.
However, the fact that the resin mortars can be power-washed to buggery and back with no ill effect, no loss of material, and the joints come up looking like new every time is a major plus for these prestige jobs.

just copy the IMG code on photo bucket and paste it here it was back braking cookie but great to see the start of the pointing no wonder they are chuffed with the job.....id have loved to seen you climbing up on top them gate pillars to take the photo PMSL

yeah just fecking about with cookies camera did'nt wanna be online tho...... its very hard work to lay this type of paving cookie's awesome and wrecked us in 1 week only now my back has started to work
