Will the price of fuel rise because of this?
You can bet your arse it will. Just paid £1.21/L for diesel in town now. It's crazy, stupid. Even Asda's chip fat oil is bloody expensive now, ruling that out.

Does depend on what type & make of pump is fitted to the engine - Bosch is good, Lucas CAV ain't
Guess what type I've got.........
You can always tell a vehicle that is running on something *fishy* as it has a very very distinctive smell......rather a nice smell actually!!!

45 gallon drum bio-diesel on site now for £190 versus £245 at the pumps. Diggers, dumpers and old transits all running it.

how long before they start selling bio diesel at the fuel stations? some one ought to capture that market.. could put big chains down a peg or two:D

supposedly there is already 5% bio-diesel allowed and within the BS standard forecourt diesel fuel. you can make your own bio-diesel upto 2500 liters a year tax free if you make more or want to sell it. it is subject to the full and current taxation level which makes up most of the cost.

soon as they say dont panic buy look what the british public do.. mad rush for the pumps and immediate price rise results! same as last time .all those who didnt need their car for work filled up and left their cars at home so there was no fuel left for those of us that have to drive to earn a crust..daft if you ask me.
