Don't forget the missus today, boys -- it doesn't have to be big or fancy, but if you don't remember SOME token of your affection today, you're likely to be sleeping outside tonight.

Hope everyone has a good Valentine's day....

I had to suffer little pink post-it notes stuck on nearly everything from the moment I got up this morning - from the bathroom door to my smelly workboots, there was a pink post-it with a 'message' written on them. Even one under my last sandwich which came to light in front of the lads!

Needless to say, I 'provided' a dozen red roses and a bottle of her favourite wine on the table as I left for work at 6.50 today.

Out with the lads tonight, skittles!! :p

Left my last rolo in her car with a little message in red ink written in the wrapper - only cost me 40p AND I got to eat all the other rolos last night. :p

She thought it was sweet .... all that matters, eh?

we agreed that I should pick any other day of the year, and treat that as valentines day. Saves all the over inflated prices, and the missus gets a nice surprise.
Last years was dec2, front row tickets to see micheal buble.

Not sure what to do this year, but i got lots of notes stuck to everything this morning too dave!

Am working outside of the UK at the moment but back on Monday morning. If I am away at this time , I normally get Interflora to bail me out but failed with the arrangements on this occasion. Wish me luck!

Well done on all of you! You get this girl's approval!

Hi Tarmac Lady, you are right. Even though you phone home every day, it's not the same as being there. I willl be taking the wife out at the weekend although she doesn't know it yet. I'm not that far away from you, in Canada at the moment, freezing my bits off, last week it was below -20 deg C without the wind chill!. Let's get back to Blighty :)

Mrs and I were witnesses at a civil ceremony on valentines day, meal out and party after...saved me a fortune, you'ld have thought... only trouble was the missus had to have a new outfit for the wedding and the meal was nice but at those prices it needed to be ! It was nice to drag her in doors out for a change though, we'll have to make a habit of it every valentines day , after all once a year cant be that bad:D :D
