I need some guidance connecting up two circuits to my consumer board.
It is a new style MCB/RCD type board, as below....
Here is the RCD details, I'm thinking of using the two outermost spare RCD's for my lighting and socket circuit.
and finally, a closeup of the insides.....
I know this probably compromises Part P etc, but do you think I can get a 'spark round to do this *simple* job??

OK Dave, it goes like this
red to green
blue to black
green/blue to red
ashes to ashes
soul 2 soul
And remember to keep one foot in a bucket of water and a wet sponge on your head :p
Keep well away my friend and leave it to the experts.
Your board looks very much like the one i had installed by a mate of ours, it is ultra sensative and our electrics are always cutting out for the slightest thing

i think the diesel barrel lifting was a much better question Dave. i actually blew a consumer box off the wall and the screwdriver i was using melted ( that taught me not to fiddle the electric again ) :;):

lectrics and plumbing are too dodge if they go wrong
i knew a guy put his own immersion heater in and blew his flat up (well all windows and doors gone and cat killed) its not worth the risk

I've re-plumbed my whole house, right from the water box on my own property upwards!
No leaks!

ELECTRICS AS WITH GAS. TREAT WITH RESPECT AND YOU'LL COME TO N O HARM. iF YOU HASVEN'T A CLUE LEAVE WELL ALONE. A SPARKY WILL SORT YOU PROBLEM IN NO TIME. YOU'II CREATE PROBLEMS LONG TIME! I DEAL WITH ELECTRICS EVERYDAY, SO FOR ME ITS EASY... BUT WHEN IT COME S TO SPECIALIST WORK, I CALL IN THE EXPERTS... SAME AS THE GAS, I'VE BEEN REGISTERED WITH CORGI FOR OVER TEN YEARS, BUT WHENEVER I FIND SOMETHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY, I SEEK EXPERT ADVICE... AFTER ALL THERE HAS TO BE SOMEONE TO BLAME...

I'm pleased to say all is done, connected and working - by a Part P Qualified sparky and not myself
