2 1/2 days lost to the downpour last week and too cold to knock up today. Fingers crossed for a milder day tomorrow :angry:

laid 400 bricks today between 10 and 3 o'clock then 3 layers of hessian,this level of cold is a pain in the derriere

We have been a bit wet, mainly cold though. Although we cant really stop because of the workload to get done before the 20th. Will need to be working saturday and sunday. Worked every saturday for the past 8 weeks. Cant wait for the holidays

Guess who's central heating has not been working these last few (coldest) days (of this winter) ...

:(

Still, fixed it now and it's been running constantly for the last 6 hours - house is now like a bloomin sauna!

Same with our gas CH, it broke down a couple of weeks back, on the coldest night of the year so far. New PCB sorted that, but it cost £160!

We had a major disaster when the dishwasher packed up a couple of weeks ago, Mrs FJ was ready for moving into a hotel until it was sorted.

I gave it a good coat of looking at, and after 10 days of it not fixing itself i relented and let her ring a guy out of the thompson directory. I was expecting the usual £60 call out, a lot of tutting & sighing and a further £100 for wiping some dust of a pcb thingy.

But no, this guy asked what make and model and then talked her through resetting the pcb thingymajig to default by pressing this, turning that and cutting the power off a few times.

This was not in the manual or the trouble shooting guide so he was sharing trade knowledge over the phone free of charge, he is either a saint or bloody busy. :)
