they do like their funny shaped blocks over there...was not allowed to take a picture of some machine laying "can we turn round and get a picture of the block paving?" ""if its not fecking diggers its bloody block paving, you are meant to be reading the map!"
you don't see machines like them in the Uk all that often, ones that got away were
a 7 tonne ZTS machine made by Wacker of all people,
a big liebherr machine loading an extec crusher/screener,
and a mahoosive (61m I think) putzmeister pump I saw from the train in france somewere near paris.
Saddo, yes I know my mum, dad, brother, girlfriend etc inform me of this regularly , but each to his own no?
oh yes I was wrong the other week too, when I said on the Tony's blog no RH6 machines about...I saw one or two white & orange, as well of lots of older liebherr and atlas stuff...hardly any jap machines about at all for a change.
Germany, lovely country, very clean , nice people, food, beer etc...thumbs up from me...hope you all like the pics.

out there a carpenter, block layer or conc finisher "Betonier" is on the same level in society as a doctor or lawyer, they have a lot of respect for specialist trades and even in a 1 week holiday watching all the kraut oppos out there you can see they know their stuff and are proud of what they do. The beer is good gear too, and the frauleins are somethingg else heh heh

you are in good company simon. My holiday photos are of machines and the like. When I was in USA, I watched them lift a whole section of concrete bridge down using a crane from a floating barge underneath. I even took a video of it if anyones interested!
Just the other week I went to whipsnade zoo with mrs dan, and spent more time looking at the diggers they have up there than the animals!
oh, and I get called sad too. !

This outfit
is very similar to what we are building to replace our tractor and low loader outfit (that transports the paving machine)
Scania R124L 420 (One with the bonnet) with a tipping body, pulling a drag trailer to carry the paving machine. Will be muich more useful than our existing haulage outfit.

ooh arr stuarty
the machine at the top is a little atlas wheel loader
probly did see some weidermann stuff, but not quick enough with the camera. I was very surprised to see a 7t Wacker machine, similar with the big 6x2 unit plus drawbar...16t in the tipper, trailer and then 13t machine.
