Mate of mine in the Fire Service down here called me tonight, he's in the motorway services South of Gloucs on the M5 (Stensham) and they have a free run of the cafe - ANYTHING as MUCH as you can eat, for free!

I've been watching to make sure you're all accounted for. The news here (and even BBC World) are describing it as horrid, and the helicopter footage appears to support that.
Hope everyone is dry and warm and safe...!

Well we made it there and back......
Some pretty horrid stuff to deal with but it's 70% done back tommorrow for the final assault.
You would not believe the merchandise that is being skipped, it would make you cry to see it.........

Even cars and such -- I have friends who bought a car on Ebay, only find a year later that it had been up to its roof in saltwater-- another victim of Hurricane Katrina.
Glad you're safe and dry.

There might be a few rusty cars and second-hand RSJ's for sale in the Minnesota area, I hear, Amy!
I hope they've dried up Gloucester by now - I have to be ther first thing Monday morning!
