Any 1 out there use these new fangled pointing guns I have been experimenting lol
and have found that the muck seams to dry out (the water comes out the end) so the muck won’t come out
i am using a standard mix (3to 1 building sand to portland cement)
so does any one uses the guns and what is the secret mix?
thanks

You can't use a standard mix: you need super-plasticisers to avoid the aggregate separating from the cement, and to keep the water held in the interstices.
Easipoint have pre-batched mortars for gun injection, but if you want to knock-up your own, it's a matter of trial and error to find out what works best with your local sands. The red building sand that's prevalent in this part of the world, is one of the easier sands to use, as its grain size is fairly regular and it combines well with a good plasticiser, but even so, you only get 5 mins working time before separation sets in and the water flows out.
