£100 for a cat?? Must be a special one for that amount!

Mrs Taz still has a dozen wabbits available for nowt. What time shall I tell her you'll be around? :;):

They've been moved out into two pens (made from a very strong geo-mesh) on my back lawn, which is no longer a lawn. The two older ones have already started work on a tunnel, while the younger brood are content to chase each other around all day long and play hide'n'seek amongst the 150mm diam pipes I put into the pens in an attempt to mimic a burrow.

i think the reasoning is that if you pay that much for a cat you are likely to look after it
on a side note ,i landscaped my own garden 3 years ago and its starting to look half decent now, but its the local cats hangout and i am sick of picking up other people's catshite on my shoes etc
any tips for discouraging cats in "le jardin"
cheers

LLL, check at your local garden centre -- they're the most likely to have a cat repellant on hand. (Make sure it's safe -- I'll *assume* you don't want to hurt them, just make sure that they're not fertilising your garden!) The biggest problem is that now the smell is in your garden, they'll think it's okay to keep using your rhododendrons as a loo!

Otherwise, scatter orange and lemon peels around your garden -- a friend of mine grinds them up in the blender with water, then strains the liquid and sprays her garden with the liquid, and spreads the ground solids around the soil -- she says it works a treat. Apparently moggies can't bear the smell of citrus.

Portslade? It's only 15 minutes from here. Next time you're down, pop in for a cuppa!

the best of it is cat owners always deny their cats kill birds and go to the loo
put it this way,if a mystery cat virus was to appear in luton and wipe out the whole population overnight (especially my garden and the loony person with the cat rescue 4 doors down)
i'd get over it
