I have been considering hiring a mini skidsteer but wondered if anyone has any experience of them. They are a smaller version of a bobcat.I think they are called Kanga.
HSS hire them out but I dont want to pay out a days hiring to find out that it's not man enough!

depends on what you are shifting with it.
They are very good for the size and very manouverable.
I tried one on a site once and it shifted soil no problem
I wouldn't use it for type one or rubble though as I think it would tip up with the weight!
How mush is the hire charge? Hss are known as HS rip off

I think they come in about 100 quid for a day or 200 for the week bit pricey really but I dont feel too confident using a bobcat in tight spaces

Not cheap but far easier than using a shovel and barrow!

Aslong as you have your wits about you and are aware of your surroundings (and people) you should be ok.......

Just don't be tempted to overload it - keep the scoop low down.....

I wouldn't be surprised if the thing is a waste of money. See my post on post hole borers to get an understanding of HSS's customer service (non-existant).
