Evening
Watched an episode of challenge Tommy Walsh on Quest @ around 6pm. He'd laid a circular patio. I caught it at the pointing stage. His method - pre wet the joints, knock up a 3:1 dry mortar & then he pushed it into the joints with his fingers while moving the pile around with his hands. No gloves!! He did strike it off with a jointer. Dodgy?

All comments appreciated.

What? He wasn't using that crappy sand-with-weedkiller that he was flogging last year? The one that turned a normal pavement into a permeable pavement, with no need to change any of the sub-layers? :;):

He missed an opportunity there!

to be fair,if i was paid enough i would happily state "the moon is made of cheese"
I did laugh when he was on some diet programme and he said his favourite tipple was "pints of baileys"
imagine laying flags after 8 pints of baileys?

Sometimes, you look at the flagging and you can tell he's been on the Bailey's! :p

Pointing with his fingers!

I remember when I used to be on the job. Those little cement burns on the end of the fingers were bloody painful. Used to keep me awake at night
