I gather from his comment elsewhere that Tony is intending to replace and improve this forum.

There are forums on t’internet for just about any subject you can think of (and some you wouldn’t want to) and some are more useful than others.

It occurred to me that Tony might appreciate our thoughts on the future of this incredibly useful resource, and even if he doesn’t then we could express them anyway. There is nothing so good that it cannot be improved and this is a golden opportunity for us to have our say.

I regularly visit the diynot.com website and find it very easy use. There are a number of other websites that use the same or similar software so it is not bespoke. It seems to be reliable but you can't tell how much work the administrator's have to put in to keep the site functioning. Worth a look if you are thinking of changing your system.
