Wish i could draw a picture. Hello again ! So iam concreting with fibres 3mx14m 110mm deep for my drive but i need to shutter it because the first 6m is on a slope and the rest is flat and it can act as an expansion joint ( i think ).Just a few questions please-

1. Do i use a 120mm x 25mm plank that i can then pull out when dry or do i leave a smaller one in with a temp filler and then fill/seal the top.
2. What do i do with the dpc which will be sticking up on both sides of the shuttering, i mean how do you finish it off so it looks nice.
3. What is the best thing to do where my concrete drive meets the council footpath maybe a kerb?
4. Can i use concrete on a slope?Or will it "flow" to the bottom i don't know how to measure the gradiant but its only gentle.
5. Would you have another joint in it cause its quite long.

Sorry for all he questions just sussing it out.

Thanks for a great web site, well impressed

i think this may be to big for you. there are several ways you can do it, hit and miss, all in one with joints, or you can cut joints after it's gone off. You cant leave ply in a joint, it needs to be fibreboard. Nail a 20ml rip to top of fibreboard, so you only pull the rip out to seal joint. Wrong weather for a diyer to do concreting on a drive. It can take all day to go off enough for a brush finish, then needs protecting from frost.

i am not sure if this is ok, what do you think? Would you buy it ?

Which CBP actually is it as there are loads mentioned in the listing!

Theres a reason concrete is so much cheaper.

CBP will be cheaper that you making a mess of the concrete and redoing it again.

CBP you can reuse if it isn't done right the first time.

CBP will work out cheaper in the long run, because any errors can be corrected at any time. With concrete you only get one shot at it, if it's not done correctly, it will look unsightly and cost to put it right. As a diyer the chances are you will mess up, as it takes years of practice to get it right. The weather can be a problem, over trowelling, under trowelling, also dog, cat, fox even kid prints.
