I asked a question in 'Other paving' last week but it didn't flash new and I have had no replies.
What am I doing wrong?
My problem is the ready mix I laid dried out to quick resulting in a poor finish. I'm considering putting a solution on top, ie.
Ronafix or Renderroc. Any suggestions?

Never saw your other post - would need to see state of concrete before being able to suggest a suitable remedy.

Thanks for your reply Tony
I have had replies to my other message in 'Other paving' , so it seems I am posting ok.
The concrete as 1mm cracks mostly perimeter as it bonds to the edge and it's a bit uneven. I'm considering skim grinding the 60sq. meteres and maybe then paint over with Ronafix to fill the cracks. Just cocerned about a 2mm coat on a drive may soon crack or wear off.
Great site

I'd be surprised if a Ronafix'ed repair screed came away, crack or abraded. The stuff is seriosuly permanent!
A few years back, one of my ex-apprentices had to buy me a new Marshallstown float when, in the light of his vast experience that ran to several weeks in the trade, he decided he'd rather be at home on his Sega (as it was back then) and that he didn't really need to clean off the tools we'd been using to lay a Ronafix-screed floor for a MOT station. He was lucky: there was a sale on at Strachan's and it only cost him 55 quid!
He never left the trowels and floats unwashed again, so I reckon that was 55 quid well-spent on his education.
