First time post, so excuse if this has been answered.

We have quite a long drive that is basically concrete, with old paving slabs concreted down the middle of it. It looks bad now, so have sought some costs from a local tarmac layer.

He said that we can top the drive with a tarmac topping about inch, inch and a half thick. He will coat the drive first with a primer, and then lay the tarmac. Would this be OK, or will it break up fairly quickly?

I have just been looking at the Ronacrete stuff, but there is no indication of cost / sq metre, so I can't compare at all.

Cheers

Andy

What's been proposed is an overlay - see...

http://www.pavingexpert.com/tarmac01.htm#overlay

... if you contacted DecorDrive (Ronacrete's alter ego for residential driveways) they'd be able to give you a price to use their resin-bonded overlay - 0800 731 2382

Won't all the joins show through once things start to settle?

Probably - I should really have mentioned that overlaying flags is a no-no.
