Hi all
i have a Cheap CAD package but i am after a package like Turbo CAD.
I would just like to know will they do a basic floor plan of a plot of land and can you do any custom work on them, i want to be able to colour the designs i do because i am a landscaper and i am sick of colouring in my plans with water colour pencils
Cheers

I use TurboCad by choice. I find it's faster and simpler for simple landscape, driveway and patio plans than AutoCad, and a fraction of the cost.
It's not perfect, and it's not summat you can learn overnight, but for the price you pay, it's good value. Many of the illustrations and 'plans' on the main website were created in various versions of TurboCad.

TurboCad can print out in a basic palette of colours, and the professional versions can work in full colour. I don't know what you mean by a 'plot and landscape feature'

What i mean is can you put in your plot size then design the ground floor of the property then do your landscape design in one feature like i have at the moment.
Or do you have to buy add ons to the actual program like you do on autocad.
I had a go of autocad but it was too technical and for what i wanted i needed to buy a landscape design add on, i guess autocad is like the main program then you run other add ons for what ever application you want.
Bit of a rip off really as i would not make a living drawing up designs because the customers over here would not pay for it

TurboCad has no limitations. You can do landscape designm floor layouts, wiring diagrams, and everything else on one drawing, if that's what you want. AutoCad can do this, too. The Add-ons are special modules that perform specific tasks, such as ground strength analysis, which aren't of any real relevance for small-scale driveway and patio design.
