Digging tools - Bulldog are amongst the best, IMO.

Actually, while I accept that Screwfix (B&Q in another guise) is a good source for some stuff, they really aren't geared up for contractors' tools as their agenda nearly always seems to be be driven by price, rather than quality. So, if you;re buying brand names from them, you should be fine, but as soon as you move onto their own brand stuff, or the unbranded crap, then "you buy cheap; you buy twice", as my Grandad always said.

Try using a genuine Contractors' merchant, such as Greenham Trading, Parkers, Strachans, or whoever covers your area. They probably won't be as cheap as Screwfix, but they will offer the genuine quality tools, as well as 'budget' alternatives.

When it comes to lecky tools, for drills I always preferred Bosch and Makita for lecky saws. I've had my main Bosch drill for around 12 years and it's never given me a day of trouble. I have a Makita circular saw and Jigsaw, both well over 15 years old and still going strong.
