As the title says, I used to be able to mark all posts read, then just look for new posts on my next connection. I cannot seem to find this on the new look board. Am I just being thick or as this been removed? Cheers Carl

Carl, if you go to the bottom of the forum page you will see the option "[Mark all topics as being old]". The same facility exists for each of the individual topic sections, again at the bottom of the page. It took me awhile to find it in the new layout but I got there eventually.

Cheers

The current set-up is less than clear, so it will be altered.

The main aim when opening up this new version of the Brew Cabin was to put an end to the "disappearing posts" problem, and some behind-the-scenes problems with administration. It's only by operating the system 'for real' that other, minor issues come to light.

The identification of new posts is one of these, as is the overall navigation and a number of the so-called 'Help' files. I'm working on these, but as I'm actually a knackered flagger and not a perl coder, it's taking me longer than perhaps it should. However, this new Brew Cabin is, in theory, much more easy to 'customise' to our preecise needs that I'm that eventually, we'll get there.

If anyone has any suggestions on how things can be improved, just let me know. I'm all in favour of constructive criticism. :D

Oops! I should have mentioned that, if you look in the right hand column of the Forum View, there should be one of these icons...

...next to any new posts. When you click on the 'Mark all threads as read' link, this 'neutralises' these icons and turns them into...
