We use 6x2 for shutters it pretty much done after though, can oil it or use your visqueen just watch corners. Is it a slab or a plinth if plinth you’ll want 45 degree corner formers to stop spalling

It's a floor for a prefab concrete outbuilding. The edge is actually going to be 8" deep, but I'm going (unless...?) to knock in pegs, screw on board "of some sort" and use "visqueen"/soil against the outside to mind the gap. The whole lot is being done by hand. I am on my uppers.

I'd be interested to see photies as you go - I'm working on a "Shed Base" page and a c-i-s concrete slab will be one of the options considered, so I need illustrations.

This is going to be a rather odd "shed base" of which I know you are critical, but if it's of any use, I will see what I can do. Another question in a minute, see new question

This is it so far. The "inner marking" in the earth is where I'm going to dig out the toe at the edge to. The pegs in the middle are markers to dig out to 100mm.
A test done by digging a hole and pouring in water shows that it drains very rapidly.

Apologies for being late to this - had all sorts of health issues with angina during the heatwave and now an arthritic knee that is driving me mad with pain.
The New Brew Cabin will be with us shortly and, hopefully, it will be far easier to upload images.....
