I know what you both mean. I just mean a complex and detailed job like that can be stressful.

On another note I just got booked up for £20,000 worth of work in 2 accepted quotes this morning and one is for another commercial client who wants to use my company for regular work also. And had 3 enquiries. Well chuffed. Might even buy a digger oooooooh,, so tempted...

Just finished this. Pig of a job. Really small garden and getting under each others feet a lot. Hot as hell. Fixing a dodgy as hell patio. Couldn't find Bret Chaucers in the sizes I needed to match existing patio so had to cut lots of near perfect cuts which meant they didn't butt up nicely so had to joint them and to top it off the second roll of grass was defective. Only noticed after I'd pinned the damn stuff down cut it round a tree bonded it to the other piece etc etc cos it looks different until the brush out so just didn't notice aaaaaaaagh, ******* me right off.

And yes they are soakaways in clay soil.. I figured, the wouldn't hinder, and probably would help,,, to a degree. Joined them in the middle in case one of them actually worked.

Weed fabric....

Yeah they are chuffed but they weren't cos had to wait a week for the new roll of grass to arrive. Worried that is wasn't going to match perfectly and would need to re lay the whole lot but it did match and the join is almost immediately invisible. Will be totally in time.

There were quite a lot of snags cos we were cooking most days in there and no shade. Just dog tired trying to do fiddly stuff in a small space you know how it is. Snags are all sorted now. They have said they are happy so hopefully a good review... not that I care. I'm through with garden constructions.. Far too much admin. Might take it easy till next spring and do fences and just basic stuff and keep my ears open for someone good who wants a job so I can do 5 mornings on site and 5 afternoons tool maintenance and admin etc.

It's tragic almost to walk away at this point when I am so set up... ugh

Looks very nice. I'm guessing barrows of type 1 mot and concrete down that side alley?

What are those white marks efflorescence?

Will it get slippy?
