Hi Chaps

I do a lot of block paving but need to render a seat made out of blocks. Can I render straight down to floor level as I am worried about damp and what sand is best to use. People tell me soft yellow builders sand is no good. Also some say feb mix others say water proofer, i'm confused.

Plasteres sand. Shouldn't be an issue straight to ground as no damp course issues. 4 / 5 and one sand cement. Use sbr on brickwork help it. stick.
