Hi,

I'm planning to help my son lay resin-bonded aggregate on the side path to his house. The path is currently a mixture of (mostly sound) tarmac, concrete and various manholes but it need levelling. I've searched for polymer modified cement overlay systems as recommended on this website but am bewildered by the range of products on offer. We need a product that can cope with levelling from feather edge to probably one inch deep and that will bond to both concrete and asphalt. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Usually, the supplier/manufacturer of the resin bond system will have a preferred 'scratch coat' product.....which they often, rather conveniently, also happen to sell.

Have you asked them?
