Garden lighting

Other groundworks tasks, such as roads and footpaths, terracing, fencing, foundations, walls and brickwork, tools and plant.

Anyone have any pointers with selecting decking lights or garden lights in general.

Ran some armoured conduit under my new patio with some string to pull through electrical cables.

Planning on cladding an old retaining wall with 2x1 and would like to put in some decking lights.

All the kits I have seen are the same, internal plug and transformer with a 15m ip67 junction box and lights with cables from 3 to 5 metres.

Is it not possible to buy ip67 decking lights individually and just have an electrician run swa cable to do the connections?

Any thoughts on what's best photocells, pir operation or just using a timer. Total noob with this sort of thing.

Thanks

Think the general consensus is preferably no uplighting.
