I mentioned on here a while back that a local stone merchant's offered me a plot for a display area and office.

Well this will be my public base of operations. Image
The plan is to have contemporary paving one side, traditional on the other and build an office at the back.
I'll use the place to meet clients after there home visit to discuss materials and design.

I'm going to have a HQ lol.

I'm starting this one tomorrow and I'll keep the thread updated.

Mostly sandstone on that lot Tony.
Black and grey sawn on the contemporary side and a warm colour riven on the traditional.
I'll be using 200x100 CPB on the office area and either a rumbled block or sandstone sett for the footpath.
Don't know weather to use wood or big piece of stone for the table?
Depends on time and money.

Cheers Mick. I'm only allowed to use there products and they have given me a £1000 budget at cost to them for materials.
My design comes in at £1200.

Made a start today just clearing out, trenching and setting out for kerbs.
Tomorrow I'll start getting the retaining edge in.
Only got this week to get as much done as poss as I've got a 250m2 concrete pad to start next Monday.

Nice start there Simon.
Innit nice to have a site with plenty of room around it and not have to worry to much about cleaning up at the end of the day.

Cheers lads. My plots out in the car park so yeah plenty of room around me and the aggregate bays and cement shed are just on the other side of the fence so not far to go for materials.

I'm going to do my best to show off what I can do Tony but I'm finding the budget quite limiting.
I wanted to build a perimiter wall with brick planters and a half circle brick seating area over on the traditional side.

I've pretty much finished the edging out for the different sections today.
Tomorrow will be chucking down some mot and block paving the footpaths then on to the traditional side laying the riven sandstone on Friday.

Limited budget but surely you'll get A LOT of work from that site... Perhaps spend a bit more of your own money on it. I would. I'd want to go to town on showing off my work.

I can't afford to at the minute forest. I'm still recovering from Christmas and paying my tax bill.
I do get more money on a yearly basis to refresh or improve the plot.

I've got the block paved foot path in and the sandstone circle in now.
With a bit of luck I'll have the traditional side finished tomorrow.
